Our garden is fully accessible with flat paths making it easy to get around, raised beds that are easy to work at and lots of sensory planting and a dementia friendly design that means it’s impossible to get lost
We can work sitting down and do lots of valuable tasks such as taking cuttings and sowing seeds.
It's not all about 'doing' and sometimes a walk around the garden to connect with what's 'growing' on is just what we need!
We have regular weekly Garden Clubs running through out the year. The Clubs are for people living with dementia and their carers and include a Young Onset Dementia club for those who have been diagnosed before they reach 65years old. The Clubs are a great place to meet with people and get gardening. We make sure everyone is involved in creating and maintaining our wonderful space to be enjoyed by us all.
Feeding birds, making a beautiful birdbath, there's lots of ways to care
We have held a variety of Events at The Red Shed and been a part of Events run by other local organisations.
We came second at the quiz night held by Hampson Park Community and received a wonderful donation from them
The team of volunteers from St Vincent Primary School staff, local councillors and our MP!
We hold different workshops through the year. These include Arts and Crafts as well as learning some new about gardening. We also have led workshops for other organisations around Hertfordshire.
