About Us

Welcome to The Red Shed Project – The Dementia Garden for Wellbeing.

The Red Shed Project provides a service for people living with dementia and their carers.

Our experienced workshop leaders are trained in horticulture and horticultural thereapy and are supported by a team of experienced volunteers.  Together they deliver garden-based activities and experiences aimed to improve and enhance physical and mental health, well being and alleviate loneliness and isolation.

Gardening is one of the most popular past-times in the UK and Horticultural Therapy is a proven way of helping people benefit from engaging with the garden.  We adapt activities to provide sensory stimulation, exercise, promote a sense of purpose and achievement.  Our activities range from growing flowers, fruit and vegetables to garden crafts.

Our services are all fully funded and free to the user. If you are interested in joining a Garden Club or finding out more about anything we do – please do contact us
